Michigan, United States - Chrysler has confirmed that its new
Jeep Compass will arrive in Australia later this year, offering a
unique blend of premium styling, off-road capability and efficiency.
The new Jeep Compass features a new design, with cues coming directly
from the brand's premium icon, the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
With all-new bodywork up front, the new face of the Compass features a
more serious, yet sophisticated, appearance that is sure to broaden the
brand's appeal in its category. Dean Bonthorne,
Senior Manager – Marketing & Corporate Communications for
Chrysler Australia said, "The stunning Grand Cherokee has won hearts
throughout the world, so extending that design appeal to Australia's
compact SUV buyer is sure to make this new Compass a hit."
The new Compass boasts a host of interior refinements, with soft touch
points and high quality materials along with improved ride and handling
characteristics courtesy of upgraded steering and suspension systems.
Detailed specifications have not yet been confirmed for the Australian
variant, it is certain to feature more than 30 safety and security
features, including standard electronic stability control, electronic
roll mitigation, Hill-start Assist and side-curtain air bags that cover
all rows.
Planned for arrival in the last part of 2011, this exciting new compact
Jeep will sell alongside its cousin, the Patriot, which features more
traditional Jeep design cues.
