Geneva, Switzerland – Kia has an ambitious plan to change its image, step one of which can be seen with its all-new Cerato model. Another new model that is being readied to help change the public perception of the Korean brand is a new MPV concept. It
appears as though Kia is delivering on its catch-cry ("The Power
to Surprise") with a number of attractive new models. To
be revealed in full at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March, the new
vehicle will be a precursor to an all-new model, expected to
arrive in 2011. The Asian car maker has released a
teaser image of the new car, a compact people mover which the company
says will redefine the MPV genre. It has 'a unique glass roof treatment to create a cool and spacious automotive powerhouse'. Though that press statement doesn't really make a lot of sense. We think it means the vehicle will have glass roof and a powerful engine. Kia
is engaging in a new vehicle assault that will deliver around a dozen
new vehicles over the next five years, all of which will display a new
look in line with the company's new design philosophy. The new
design philosophy can seen in the new Cerato model and will be
introduced to the MPV market via this model's production-ready
successor. We'll have more information on Kia's new concept car in the coming weeks.
