Mazda CX-9: Model Update
The new CX-9 has a more sophisticated design

Sydney, Australia- Mazda Australia has refined their 7-seat SUV range. The CX-9 has arrived in dealerships nationwide boasting a whole list of additional features and an improved fuel economy of 12.2L per 100km.

The New CX-9 range consists of three models starting from $49,990 - Classic, Luxury and Grand Touring.

With upgrages to the interior and exterior, Mazda has reduced the price of the revised CX-9, the Classic model is now $2,000 cheaper than the equivalent outgoing model and Luxury is $3,115 less than its previous model. Which sounds good considering the list of additional equipment now standard on these models.

The new CX-9 has a more sophisticated design, which incorporates a larger lower grille and Mazda’s five-point ‘family face’ grin.

Exterior styling upgrades are complimented by a refreshed interior that features equipment upgrades such as satellite Navigation (available as an option on CX‐9 Luxury and standard on CX‐9 Grand Touring) which includes a reversing camera with rear parking guidelines, heated 3‐position memory side mirrors, Bluetooth functionality, smart keyless entry and engine start and remote operated power tailgate with open/close (depending on model).

All CX-9 models come with three-zone climate control air-conditioning, alloy wheels, cruise control and power windows and mirrors as standard.

The Mazda CX‐9 has a 3.7 litre V6 24‐valve DOHC petrol engine that produces 204kW at 6,250rpm and 367Nm of torque at 4,250rpm and is able to go from 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds.. The V6 is mated to a 6-speed Activematic transmission which delivers power via Mazda’s on-demand Active Torque Split (ATS) all-wheel drive system.

Standard safety features across the CX-9 range include Antilock brakes, Traction Control, Dynamic Stability Control and Roll Stability Control. There are front, side and curtain airbags for all three rows of occupants as well as Active Front head restaints.

Mazda Australia expects to sell around 260 CX‐9’s per month with the following model split (lifecycle
