Melbourne, Australia
- After its recent debut at this years Frankfurt Motor Show, the
Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG will be fast tracked to our shores as anxious
buyers eagerly wait its arrival.
Although the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG is quite
similar to the Edition 63 (C63), the Australian market has been able to
uniquely specify a model specification to match Australian requirements.
The Australian spec E 63 comes standard with the
sun protection package, rear boot spoiler and 19 inch alloy (which are
normally an option).
Featuring an AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed sports
transmission and powered by a 6.3-litre V8 engine which develops 386kW
of power with a maximum torque figure of 630Nm, the E 63 AMG is capable
of going from zero to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds, before hitting a top
speed of 250km/h (electronically limited).
The AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed sports
transmission features four modes “C” (Comfort), "S" (Sport), "S+"
(Sport plus) and "M" (Manual) – each mode reacts differently.
The E 63 AMG also has a completely newly developed
AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled
damping and a new front axle. The new AMG RIDE CONTROL offers three
selectable settings – Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
The Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG will be in showrooms
from November and is priced from $234,900 (RRP).
