– Like almost every car maker on the planet at the moment, Mercedes-Benz is experiencing slow sales and diminished interest. But confidence is still relatively high at the German car company thanks to the upcoming SLS AMG 'Gullwing' supercar and now this model, the E63 AMG. Mercedes
new E-Class model is one of its most enduring models and usually a
strong seller, so the arrival of the halo model for the range will be a
big boost. As this teaser shows, a Mercedes-Benz employee has
revealed a portion of the front end of the high performance
E-Class sedan, which will be powered by a 6.2-litre V8. Scheduled to be unveiled at the New York motor show in April, the E63 AMG will rival vehicles such as the 432kW Audi RS6. But as Mercedes-Benz
stated some months ago, it has no plans to get involved in a power
war and this appears to be confirmed with the power output, which is
about 390kW (525hp), some 40 kilowatts less than the Audi RS6. The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG will be powered by a 6.2-litre V8 that outputs the following:  Power: 390kW
Torque: 630Nm
As
well as an increase in power over the previous E-Class AMG model, the
high speed luxury sedan will also get improvements in ride and handling
via chassis upgrades. New bodywork, partly evidenced in the teaser image, will also be added to the E63 AMG. Though
it won't be the most powerful car in its class, Mercedes has promised a
lighter, more agile car so the performance figures could be a match for
