Australian importer of Aprilia motorcycles, John Sample Automotive,
has released an individualised version of the Aprilia RSV1000R
- the Pro Twin.
The launch of the limited run sports bike, optimised for
track use locally by John Sample Automotive, comes on top
of the success of the recently released Aprilia RSV1000R Haga
replica.
The Aprilia RSV1000R Pro Twin features an Akropovic titanium
2in2 SBK exhaust system, re-mapped EPROM fuel-injection system,
gold handlebar weights and Gold Oz racing wheels.
The lighter exhaust system helps reduce dry weight by over
3kg to just below 180kg.
"The success of the Haga replica was the catalyst for
developing the Aprilia RSV1000R Pro Twin," said David
O'Reilly, national manager of John Sample Automotive.
"The Haga highlighted demand for another RSV1000R with
slightly different appeal, and we believe the Pro Twin can
satisfy that demand."
A limited number of Aprilia RSV1000R Pro Twins have been
built, with interest coming from customers who missed out
on the Haga replica or who wanted something different.
The Aprilia RSV1000R Pro Twin is priced at $32,500 plus on-road-costs.
A stock RSV1000R is worth about $30,800, so considering what
you get with the Pro Twin, this makes for a very intelligent
buy.
