Not long after NISMO's 370Z release in the US, Nissan proceeded to the
domestic launch of its factory-tuned Z car.
We took a look at the Nissan
370Z NISMO back in April and now Nissan have launched its
factory-tuned Z car to the masses.
The JDM NISMO 370Z has the same
upgrades as its US-spec,
including a modified version of the 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces
257kW (350 hp) compared to the 370Z's standard 247kW (332HP).
The
only difference is the US-spec model comes exclusively with a 6-speed
manual gearbox with SynchroRev Match which simulates heel-toe
downshifting, whereas Japanese buyers also have the option of the
7-speed
automatic transmission. Also fitted to help with takeoff and handling
is a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential.
The NISMO
package also comes with five-spoke 19-inch RAYS forged aluminium alloy
wheels, wrapped in 245/40 R19 tires up front and 275/35 R19 at the rear
Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high performance tyres, stiffer sports
tuned suspension and Nissan high-performance brake system to help stop
the car.
The NISMO 370Z coupe's exterior
styling is
modified with an extended nose, unique rear bumper, large rear wing and
specific side skirts.
The interior is upgraded
with a set of sport bucket seats, special door trims and NISMO gauges
plus contrasting red stitching on the seats, steering wheel, gearbox
knob and handbrake lever.
In Japan, Nissan has priced
the NISMO 370Z at ¥4,935,000 Yen (about $65,621 AUD) for the 6-speed
manual gearbox model and at ¥5,040,000 Yen (approx $67,025 AUD) for the
automatic version.
