- Nissan Motors has released details of its latest version of the
Nissan GT-R, which goes on sale on December 7th at Nissan dealers
nationwide in Japan.
The updated GT-R receives a number of
upgrades, including an updated navigation system, tuned suspension and
an improved-flow catalyst exhaust system. The upgraded GT-R is
scheduled to go on sale in other global markets in the later part of
next year.
Since its introduction in the Japanese market, the
GT-R has always been the pinnacle of performance and cutting-edge
technology.
The
latest upgrades to GT-R include a new HDD-based CARWINGS navigation
system with enhanced entertainment functions and a USB port for iPod
connectivity.
In addition, the GT-R’s suspension has been
retuned
to enhanced ride quality and comfort, while still maintaining road grip
and cornering precision.
The front shock absorbers and springs have
been enhanced for better comfort, while the stiffness of rear
suspension radius rod bushings have been strengthened
for cornering
precision.
Rear diffusers with cooling ducts have been extended
to non-SpecV models, improving cooling performance around the rear
floor area.
The range-topping GT-R SpecV also receives revised
rear shock absorber settings as well as new high performance tyres from
Dunlop (the previous Bridgestone tyres will be available as a factory
option).
Both the Nissan GT-R and GT-R SpecV have improved
low-
and mid-range engine response, thanks to newly adopted hexagonal meshed
catalyst cells that reduce ventilation/airflow resistance.
