Pass is Australia's oldest ski resort, established early last
century and Australia's highest resort with a base elevation
of 1760m.
Charlotte Pass is the only snowbound resort in Australia,
with access during the season only available through over-snow
transport from Perisher Valley.
The isolation of the resort is definitely a endearing feature,
guaranteeing a relaxing experience away from the rat-race
of most other resorts. With genuine on snow accommodation
all lodges offer ski in ski out access and panoramic views
of the Kosciosko area.
Despite only having 5 lifts, there is still a lot of skiing
to be had with fast groomed trails to tree skiing to genuine
off piste adventure.
Charlotte Pass offers unrestricted access to the main range
and as such has become a popular base for cross country skiers
and hikers in summer.
