Lake Mountain
Lake Mountain is Australia's Premier Cross Country Ski Resort,
the mountain is situated only 120 kilometres from Melbourne,
and with an altitude of 1500 metres above sea level, achieves
the closest consistent snow to Melbourne.
It remains a popular destination for Melbournians seeking
snowplay, toboganning or some grueling Nordic Skiing.
Lake Mountain continues to be one of the three busiest Cross
Country Ski Resorts in the world with it's ski trail system
offering the cross country skier thirty seven kilometres of
well marked trails, ranging from the first time skier to the
most advanced.
