Despite being situated just under five hours from Melbourne, Mount Hotham is always a popular choice for a weekend away.

The one time highly criticized mountain has been busy for the best part of a two decades now, investing money into infrastructure and developments to help make the Mount Hotham experience like no other.

Today the resort not only offers some of the best facilities but also delivers some ideal conditions for skiing and boarding.

Thanks to the falling slopes into the stunning sheltered valleys, Mount Hotham often offers some great skiing and boarding even on the most atrocious of days.

The Mountain

  • Skiable Area: 320 Hectares

  • Summit Peak: 1861 meters

  • Ave season snowfall: 300cm

  • Snow making area: 10 ha

  • Dist to capital city: 4.5 Hours from Melbourne, 9 hours from Sydney

The Riding

  • No of lifts : 13

  • Beginner Run: 20%

  • Intermediate Run: 40%

  • Advanced Run: 40%

  • Lift ticket cost (& discounts): $94 Daily Adult

  • Terrain Parks: 1 (2nd snow dependant)

  • Half pipes : 1 (2nd snow dependant)

The Village

  • Number of Beds on Mountain: 7000 beds (including Dinner Plain)

  • Number of Bars and Restuarants: 32 (Including Dinner plain)

  • Amenaties and Misc: Hotham Airport, supermarkets, Medical Centre, Snow sports school, childcare, helicopter transfers to Falls Creek.

  • Useful Information: Hotham Lift tickets work in conjunction with Falls Creek. When the weather is good, take the return helicopter ride across to Falls and experience two mountains in one day.
