Mt Stirling

Mt Stirling is a cross country ski area sitting right next door to Mt Buller and offers over 60km of ski trails and one of the major access points into the Australian Alpine National Park.

Offering recreational activities such as bushwalking, camping, four wheel tours, fishing, horse and camel riding, Stirling continues to be a popular destination. Many schools also utilise Stirling's unique characteristics for survival camps, camping treks and general bush exposure.

Mt.Stirling was used as the site for a number of movies the most notable of which being "The Man From Snowy River". Craig’s Hut the cattleman’s hut from the movie is situated on the eastern side of the mountain and is a popular tourist destination. From here the views of the high country are spectacular. Stirling run regular four wheel drive tours to Craig’s Hut throughout the summer.
