Weather Situation
A ridge and dry airmass will dominate weather over much of the state during the
next few days, with daytime temperatures remaining above average through
southern, central and western districts. A trough will shift east over southern
Queensland on Friday, with warm northerly winds to its east tending cool
southwesterly in its wake. Little or no rainfall is expected with the trough
passage. A strong high pressure system will enter the Great Australian Bight on
Friday, extending a firm ridge into western Queensland in the wake of the
trough.
