Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ita lies over the far southern Coral Sea and is expected to
continue moving southeast further away from the southern Queensland coast
during today. An upper trough over the southwest of the state will move
eastwards and is expected to contract off the southern Queensland coast during
this evening. A high will strengthen over southern Australia late today,
extending a firm ridge and dry airmass through southern and western Queensland.
