Weather Situation
A weak high pressure centre will remain slow moving over far southeastern
Queensland during the next few days, maintaining a firm ridge over the
northeast Queensland coast. The high will weaken during the weekend as a new
high develops over southwestern Australia. A surface trough will shift east
over the state on Friday, most likely contracting off the southern Queensland
coast on Saturday. A series of upper troughs will extend cloud and possible
patchy light rain into southwestern Queensland during the forecast period.
