Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a weakening ridge along the
eastern Queensland coast. A series of upper troughs will extend cloud and
possible patchy light rain into southwestern Queensland during the weekend. A
surface trough will shift east over the state during the weekend, most likely
moving off the southern Queensland coast early Monday. A high will move east
over southern Australia early next week, extending a cold, dry airmass into the
southern half of Queensland in the wake of the trough.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 30 May
Cloudy. Patchy fog in the south early this morning. Medium (40%) chance of
showers, most likely during the morning and afternoon. Winds east to
southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending east to northeasterly in the late morning.
Daytime maximum temperatures 24 to 29.
