Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a firm ridge along the
east Queensland coast. The high will weaken and the ridge will relax later
today. A new high will move into the Tasman Sea late on Thursday and Friday,
maintaining a ridge along the east Queensland coast. Hot to very hot conditions
will develop over the southern interior of the state during Wednesday and
Thursday, extending to remaining southern, western and central parts from
Friday.

Partly cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of showers about the coast. Winds
southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h turning east to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the
afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures 26 to 31.
